Allison – Content Mom-ager
A Virginia native, Allison came to New Orleans for college, but stayed for the lack of open container laws. Her writing career began at a young age when she took 1st place in a 2006 D.A.R.E. essay contest. Raised on MTV classics like ‘Next’ and ‘Parental Control’, she joined the Celebuzz! team as a Reali-Tea Specialist. Currently, Allison keeps the office up-to-date on dank memes and who we are cancelling next. In addition to TV and Internet drama, she covers mercantile fetishism for the site (but she has been asked to stop calling it that). Allison considers herself an avid hiker, though she has never once taken stairs instead of an escalator. On the weekends, you can find her trying to raise a proletariat revolution in the club. Kirsten – Music Nerd, Wannabe Astrologer, Content Creator
Kirsten grew up choreographing her own one-woman music videos to perform in front of literally any willing (or non-willing) audience, and moved to New Orleans when she realized that more people found it charming than annoying in the south. A full time student, he work with Celebuzz! primarily consists of her geeking out over music or making fun of early 2000s fashion. Special skills include always being able to name every single member of the Kardashian-Jenner family and always knowing what zodiac season we’re in. In her free time, she can be found walking her dog or explaining to her friends the cultural impact of Britney Spears.
Juliann – Celeb Sighting Specialist | Pop Culture Generalist
Although she’s originally from Baltimore, Juliann has found herself there and back again when it comes to New Orleans. Her obsession with pop culture began at age two when she was gifted her first Spice Girls cassette tape, and she hasn’t stopped consuming media since. When Juliann isn’t obsessing over who-wore-what at the gas station, she enjoys conducting celebrity interviews and writing think pieces on reality reunions. She considers herself a connoisseur of the fine arts—on her days off you can find her binging true crime documentaries and organizing her collection of saved memes. Her biggest talents include painting her nails and telling people that the word “basic” just doesn’t apply to her.
Ashlee Nicole – Senior Editor | HipHopMyWay
Born, bred, and forever budding in New Orleans, LA, Ashlee’s realized that, no matter where she travels, there’s no place like NOLA. She’s a social butterfly who knows all cool things to do in her city — so much that in 2008, she created ashleenicolespills.tv, and in 2012, won “Hottest Blog of the Year” at the NOLA Underground Hip-Hop Awards. Aside from creating content for the culture, Ashlee is an absolute music junkie and self-proclaimed foodie. Her perfect night out starts with a fancy meal and ends with a seat at a dive bar, sipping whiskey and a beer, swaying to tunes from a jukebox.
